Title: How can people be SO brain-dead?
Post by: Nickbat on 28 February 2010, 17:44:50: I don't use Twitter. One of the reasons is that it is seems to be the reserve of complete idiots. Just read these twits:

WOW so drilling for oil near the Falklands caused the earthquake in Chile.. I didn't realise it caused such massive problems,, how have we gotten away with it for so long?? perhaps we shouldn't build any new bridges either, cause the foundations could cause Australia to rip open :P lol :D

Maybe if we built lots of bridges across the fault lines then we could kind of "stitch " them together and stop them moving - gotta be worth a try.

Everyone knows that water expands when it gets hotter. Also, with AGW, everyone knows there's going to be more rain. And all that melting ice at the North Pole. Since there is clearly going to be more of it, the sea must be pushing down harder on the sea bottom, so it might be causing all these earthquakes.

Please, please, can I be a Climate Scientist?
