Title: 1/4 mile

hi fokes got a total vauxhall event on the 9th of may at crail going to be taking the omega down the 1/4 a mile.now it is a auto so the start will not be that good but once it gets going it should be ok. the question is how fast of a time do you think it will do it in also how fast i will be going when i pass the finishing line ? :y :y

Heavy car off the start, but gain speed quickly once it's rolling, might look slow compared to other cars, I wouldsay in the 80+mph mark but not sure on ETA.

Also it will depend alot on the mileage and condition of your car as a lot have clocked up a fair few miles these days.

Hope youhave a fantastic time and manage to get plenty of pictures to show us. :y

...also depends on if the auto box holds up with you flooring it through the gears.....

From PVS over the last couple of years you will be looking at high 15s to low 16s at very best.

Assuming yours is a 3ltr it will be on a par with 2.5 V6 Vectas.

All i would say is prepare to be beaten alot by what you might consider to be 'inferior' vehicles

Once we had finished mine last weekend, I was going to see if we should, errr, test it all with your gadget ::)

I remember 16.7 for quarter mile with manuals but it also depends on the cars condition..

Mark, do you remember what we got out of Mick Dundees car when you had it, IIRC, LJ got the best time.

There was about 15 of us having a go, wasn't there?
