I never thought I'd say this, but I miss not having a chinky sit-down nearby. All Brackley has is curry houses, and the American Diner (food is variable, but always expensive)

With you there, Oh, and Cretins like the poser who I followed to work today. He'd obviously found his way to the Porsche garage to buy his woman's car (Boxster) and found the button that folds the roof down when it's sunny so he can pose, and found his gay looking sunglasses so he can pose. Why the break hasn't he found the indicator stalk yet? >:( Of the right hand pedal, for that matter. ::)

Yep. Strip chassis and get it repaired. New nose cone (Although, actually, with a bit of fibreglassery the old one might fix if I'm feeling tight.)

Ah, I take it the nose took some of the damage, I thought it was a sideways bang into kerb.
What about suspension, has that taken damage?
I assume the damage to nosecone hasn't damaged cooling system?

Nosecone took all of the impact as far as I can see. I wish they hadn't made the damned thing so strong as I would have been happy for it to shatter rather than pass the forces into the chassis! Westfield were a bit OTT with the thickness of their fibreglass panels in those days.
No, back end stepped out, full opposite lock failed to stop the slide and it pointed me straight at the bank by the side of the road. Nosecone plloughed into that with a significant sideways component to its' direction which sent me spinning up the road until I hit tarmac. I'm glad there was a bank there instead of a ditch.
Suspension looks to be OK. I'll change the steering rack as a matter of course. (already sourced a cheap nearly-new 2nd hand item). WF suggested changing the wishbones but at £100 each I think they will recieve some careful scrutiny beforehand.

At the moment (changes on a minute by minute basis, cos I'm a grumpy old git)
1. Fog lights - they should just be banned or replaced with 'Styling' lights that are permitted at no more than 1w. No fog - people just being nobs. Foggy - they make it more difficult to see ahead. Pointless.
2. Cats. I've got to pick up my neighbours cat crap before my toddler can play on my own property. Cats should be inside or on leads - same as dogs. They all used to run wild, we're just soft with cats because they haven't been on the front pages mauling a child.
3. Fuel Duty... and no, I don't have a better idea to shift the taxation.
4. Immigration - but only where they're sponging off the state.
5. Car Tax. I struggle to make ends meet. I've got a 14 year old commute-mobile. Tax me off the road - then I'll be in the line for state handouts, and more than 120 quid every six months. Buy a new car? No chance, couldn't afford the repayments. I've got a mortgage and kids.
6. Respect. My house, my land, my car, my posessions - keep the hell off them. I shouldn't need to worry about kids destroying my flowerbeds, or have the pristine snow messed up by with footprints and drawing from the local p*ssed up kids. Yeah - it's only snow, but it's MY snow.
7. Planning Office - I want to copy an extension on a house just down the road from me. Can't because they say I can't see it from my property.
8. Car Technology - When I was growing up I was promised that cars would be able to drive themselves and everyone would have one. I'd love that for my commute - just hop in, fall asleep and however long later wakeup in work car park.
9. Tailgating - One day I'm just going to jump on everything I've got - hopefully I'll be driving something much bigger and heavier than they are, but that's not usually the case is it?
10. Washing Up. I've not got a dishwasher (no room), and until my boy can reach the sink I'm stuck with the chore.
......ahhhhhhhh - that feels much better. It's like therapy ;D
Still, it won't stop me having to sit through rush hour being tailgated by some nob with his fog lights on only to get home to a bomb site with a pile of dishes to do and whilst stood at the sink notice that next door's cat's only gone and sh*t in my trampled flowerbeds again, will it?
