Spent 3 hours on project Elite yesterday, got a lot done (but didn't have my camera)
Camshafts out again - bearing caps all lined up in the correct order, camshafts back in and caps torqued down.
Camshaft oil seals x 4 fitted.
Rear timing cover cleaned and fitted.
Cam sprockets fitted and torqued
Water pump fitted (From the CDX, only covered 7k)
New timing belt kit fitted and engine all timed up... timing and tension set absolutely spot on :)
Outer timing cover and seal cleaned and refitted.
Crank pulley re-fitted
Water Pump Pulley re-fitted
PAS pulley re-fitted
AUX Belt refitted + bolts tightened
Not bad for the time I spent really...
To do:
Cam Covers
DIS and HT leads
Rear coolant pipe (barsteward)
Stat and front transfer pipe
Swap Rad
Engine earths
Cable trays
Inlet assemblies + injecctors
New bolt for cat to mid-section
New Spark Plugs
Oil + filter change
Coolant flush, matrix flush, then antifreeze mix
Just bits and peices!!
I'm hoping over the course of next week, I'll have it fired up :)

I reckon you are virtually there... :y

You should have done the rear coolant pipe before refitting the heads.

Agreed! Live and learn ::)
Although, it's totally possible to do with heads on, just fiddly!
-
Its not possible to fit the drivers side head with the pipe on......the manifold gets in the way!
Easy enough to fit though, easier with the bypass valve pipe assembly removed....

Before you re-fit the coolant pipe, clean the face of the block down well with emery or wet and dry and consider using a little sealent along with the rubber O-ring seal...
