My old green Chavalier V6 Diplomat did that to me on the M54 at about 3:00am the once. Busy chatting away with a mate after a long night out, heading back to his in Telford and realised the car was doing 135 ;D ;D I always called that car Christine :-?

........Silly and very stupid of me....... :-[
Yes! :o
But sometimes it has to be done ;) ;). I entered into a race challenge with a go-faster Ford Focus ST? one evening on the way home from work a while ago. He planted it & so did I. I had to slow down from the same speed because my junction was looming up very quickly.
Bloody stupid really :-[

What about the 2.6, Steve?
8-) ;)

It wasn't a challenge from a standstill, this was a 'rolling start' from the top of the slip road. Big cars in general aren't exactly what you want in the Traffic Light Grande Prix but if it's already moving they'll often keep up with a lot of other so called faster cars.
I never expected to keep up with him, there'd have been something wrong if I had. But he didn't expect me to keep up with him for as long as I did ... they never do with a 10 yr. old car! ::) ::) ::) ;)

I guess it's all relative...as well as silly licence losing... I playfully call the Beastie my scooby chaser..cos she chases them. 0 to 60 no chance but once we get past 100,110mph it's a different ball game. It's the nature of the beast, Scoobies are built for low down grunt & are turbo 4wd so shoot off much quicker but once we get to licence losing speeds the old girl comes into her own & never stops pulling, yes i've tried it!
By the same count let's not forget Pete's little MX5 out dragging the best of us @ the last York meet. Much as we love 'em they would,nt keep up with an MX5 in the twisties either, i've owned both!!! 8-)
