Title: Up, up and away........
Post by: DaveL on 06 April 2007, 11:40:44
Went through to the local town and bought a pop up gazebo. Up here we can have all the seasons of the year in 12 hours or less. Have had a lot of the tubular metal gazebos and only last with me till the first piece of fresh air blows through the space.

So crack of sparrows went out into garden with new gazebo. Nice strong construction and only slightly more than the thin metal ones. No i am not trying to sell you one, just making sure to my self than i have made a good decision for once.

Any way after fighting to get the thing out of the custom bag and banging my shin on the metal i thought that it will need more hands to the pumps.

Go in and got Mrs DaveL out. Struggled with putting thing up without cutting fingers off. After 5 mins of falling over and cussing Mrs DaveL asks if i have seen/read the instructions. :-[ :-[ Of course not it is only a simple tent how hard can it be? :-X

Again went on for another 5 mins saying that there must be some major part missing and need to take it back!!

Mrs DaveL finds instructions, reads, pushes on two parts of the metal canter levers and wallah up pops the gazebo. :o :o :o

So thinks i we now have a structure in case of bad weather at the Easter meet at Loch Lomand and an expert to put it (gazebo) up. :y :y

Result. :y

I had to take the cover off my kid's car seat last night, cos it's going in my car for the weekend and needs to be clean.

MrsC comes out with instructions, 40 images and cross references, I gets a huge screwdriver and job done in 10 mins.  :)

Oh and I removed some "extra" bits - and found runny puke from 3 weeks ago  >:( - now that wasn't in the handbook - so DIY that's what I say  :y

Women are funny like that, they always want to read the instructions first, Mrs AA's exactly the same.

Well weathers changed, clouds starting to form over Brucie's way, and so the pop up gazebo will have to come down. Do not fancy taking a soggy wet tent thing along to the Lomand meet.

Tells Mrs DaveL about the pending doom and that i would put the thing down after i had finished cleaning the car.

Finished polishing car, walks in to garden, gazebo down and packed. :o :o :y :y

By Ch**st do i love that woman. ;D ;D
