Gaffers' post reminded me of a project by a fellow Megasquirt forum member. OK, the seating position is probably similar, and that's about all, but it goes to show that adding internal combustion - just a teeny little 4-pot - makes things a tad more exciting - IMHO.

If you think you can get any appreciation of speed Vmax'ing an Omega you need to watch one of his videos 8-)

Those little orange things that keep flashing by are mile markers, I believe. :o

always knew 4 pots rocked 8-)

Too busy watching the vids, but I think I counted 6 seconds between markers at the end of one of the vids. 1 split was 20 seconds a marker which would work out at 180mph at a mile apart. So maybe 1km appart

But these are 'merkins. ;)
Oh, what fun I could have with an unlimited toy budget and a pair of tungsten carbide gonads. ::)

I reckon they're half mile markers. Half a mile in 6 seconds = 300 MPH approx. :y

I keep hoping to win the lottery and the 1st investment would be a well sorted garage, with a view to build something rather quick for a 1/4 sprint or even faster for the salt flats,
Maybe something purpose built for the track.
All Omega based of course.
