Title: It's just a short flight.........
Post by: Gaffers on 22 March 2010, 19:52:54
My wife just told me about this interesting story of how not to deal with a bad situation.  Some management need to get the chop I reckon - Virgin America Flight (http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/starving_passengers_rationed_pringles_VMyOd8P1MCNDDT4gPgsrRP)

The most ironic part "Adding insult to injury, the Virgin plane had left Stewart empty -- and beat the passengers back to JFK."   ::) ::)

does not sound like it was the airlines fault, combination of weather issues and delays outside their control.

Might want to stock up on food though, but thats weight, and money in fuel, so it a tough one  :-/

Why couldn't they have had food put aboard at Stewart? or for that matter, why not allow the passengers off while the plane refuelled?  Because passengers are no more highly regarded  than cattle Imho! >:(

Well said mate.   I've said the same thing all the time, but with trucks and buses,  is my cargo of steel plates, wood or other crap what i transport all over the knot end more important than human life?
NO. then why are Busses permitted to drive at 60mph (100kmh) and trucks only at 50mph (80kmh). sorry if Ive came away from the main topic.
