Title: Lorry Shunt - Repeat!!
Post by: Lizzie_Zoom on 23 March 2010, 18:37:21
If you thought that incident involving a clit being hooked to the front bumper of a lorry was extrordinary and very rare, think again.

An almost identical incident has happened on the M25 according to our local news.  This time the car was hooked sideways on the front bumber of a B&Q lorry, but once more everyone got away without a scratch once the lorry eventually stopped!! :o :o :o :o

So never say never!! :D :D ;)

God forbid it ever happens to me, they would have to get a drain sucker in to empty the car of effluent before they could even think of getting me out! :D ::) ;)

Is this the start of some 'craze' that has been imported from over the water?

The lorry driver has been suspended by the firm, and is still "under investigation" by the police ......

Perhaps he was too busy on his mobile to notice what he hit ???

 :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Then you have a bloody heavy truck mate. normaly they are 15 ton when empty.
artic machine is 7.5 ton
most trailers are also 7.5 ton. the only trailer that I know what is heavyer is a tanker what can be up to nearly 11 ton empty.

And as amigomv6 said you should know that something is not right.  you would see it and feel it in the stearing. unless the driver is a new starter and just got his licence.

A truck might be big and heavy but a car from the front or back you will feel it. if a car hits you from the side then you might or wont feel it.
If a car Clips the front of a truck on a motorway the car can send the truck off the road very easily, even with 44 ton.
