Title: Thanks and a good day..
Post by: ClarCE on 08 April 2007, 19:53:33
Thanks goes to Taxi Driver for sorting out my airbag light issues, I can inform you that nobody was harmed and there was apparently a lot of English rather than Hungarian on the screen - cheers TD you're a life saver, hopefully not literally!

And..

Changed my gearbox sumps and gaskets, both the small one and the biggy. Sad news is that the doner box that the big sump came off of had bits of thrust washer in the new sump :( So that won't be going on to my project car, i'll have to get another one from somewhere..

However the main beast is now running and purring like a kitten, thats how an autobox is supposed to behave, with the update done as well its all running brilliantly :D

Cleaned both the magnet and the big filter, got everything completely clean so not suprised its happier now!

And thats about all for today..

Chris.

Sounds like you were busy Chris. :)

Good that you now have a happy gearbox too. :)

If you need another autobox, make sure you get the AR35.

Well done TD, no doubt you sat in the rear seat while assuming the self-embrace crash position and wearing a flak jacket and helmet.... and did you put your Brainiac shirt on?  ;D

What box is it?

Found it. I am going to check my box, and if its an AR25, I think I will be bidding.

Presumably, fitting is included in the price ;) ;D

Cheers guys, was very productive - but in Omega fashion my annoying sounding exhaust has gone from annoying to quite seriously bad overnight! Sounds like a tractor big time!

So, as soon as I can find £300 that will be the next job, want to replace both centres and the rear box.. Incidentally does anyone know if there would be any performance issues if I was to fit the twin exit 3.0L exhaust in place of my single exit 2.5?  Remembering my chip and 3.0L cam's that'll hopefully be in very shortly  :D  :D

Also one last thing, where about would it say AR25 / AR35?

Cheers,

Chris.

Sorry dont remember AA.....There were three of them all together for the Airbags....I didnt bother to read them too closely as Chris said they were coz he'd turned the ign on with the seat airbag disconnected.....i just cleared them.....they didnt come back.
