I lived an earthquake 5 and something (was nothing compared to that) on  6 th floor (in higher floors displacement seems to be much more :-?) in Istanbul many years ago.. Feel so desperate .. Cant imagine what these people think at this moment

We had a relatively noticeable one here in Nottingham about 2 and a half years ago.....

Came in the middle of the night and woke me up, tiles on the roof were rattling and I woke up startled, wondering what the hell was going on......

Shocking

We had one here last year, and it vibrated me out of bloody bed! When we got up next morning, there was a bloody big crack in the bathroom ceiling where the board joint had given way, but no other damage anywhere! :D :y

We have had three around here since we moved into this house (about 7 years).

During the first one, I was in the loft wiring in an outside light.....all I heard from downstairs was 'what the F-ing hell have you done!'
