Title: That snow I told you about
Post by: Nickbat on 30 March 2010, 14:20:40
Seems like Scotland will bear the brunt of it:

"Snow accumulations will vary largely across the region, with typically 15cm, but upland inland areas outwith Edinburgh City, especially towards the Pentland and Lammermuir hills could catch 30 to 50cm with deep drifts."  :o :o

I doubt it will make you feel any better but I got snowed-in at a village near Barnstaple one Easter. ;)

Luckily, it had a very understanding pub landlord who isn't a stickler for timekeeping at the best of times. "are you still open, then?" "Are you still drinking, then?" ;D

wait a sec - this proves it! of course one small island off the western coast of mainland europe holds the key to all data - i don't know why they bother taking temperatures anywhere else on the planet - we're all that matters  ;)

It does indeed :(

But it does beg the question... Why on earth did the trip go ahead when this weather was forecast? :-/ :-?
