Not much, been busy entertaining the outlaws today.
Got a replacement expansion bottle on (from a V6, so had to bodge on the seperate pipe outlet). Holds pressure much better. Still cooling issues though, so I am still thinking lack of circulation to take heat away from engine, causing local hotspots in the engine, and local boiling, causing the high pressure and cap to blow.
Anyone strongly disagree? I am going to go to Motorserv and buy a rad tomorrow morning unless anyone has a better idea...

Unfortunately Fins is no more.... ...and the one down the scrappy is for a manual gearbox (whatever one of those is ;))

Bleh... I guess do it... I would hate you to buy one for nothing, but there's not much else it can really be now!!
Silly Q, but Have you flushed the heater Matrix?

Silly Q, but Have you flushed the heater Matrix?
No.
But I guess it should be bypassed as I'm asking for cold air in this current heatwave. Turning heater to HI seems to aid engine cooling as expected.
So I don't think the heater matrix is blocked, but I am completely open to all ideas, and all are welcomed :)

My old Elite, had some awful pressuring problems and running hot when thrashed etc.... when I flushed the matrix, it halved my probs!
Worth doing, even if only for good measure :)

I wonder how easy those awkward clips are to get to in the tractor? The s6 is far too long for the car...

Considering the other auto diesel one is £149 I suspect this is a mistake on the price. :-/

Hello,
Thankyou for your order.
Unfortunately the part is currently out of stock.
I will therefore cancel your order and issue you a refund through PayPal.
I can get you the part from one of our suppliers but the radiator would cost £140 + vat.
If you are interested please call us on the number below.
