Title: Bios set up on start up.

Trying to connect a new logitec mouse and keyboard combo on my PC .The combo works on my laptop but will not operate on my PC.Have connected an old PS2 keyboard with usb adaptor and when booting up I can get into Bios mode where options to go to safe mode ( plus more ) are displayed but no matter what I do I cannot get the scroll keys to select / highlight any of the options to allow me to get in and configure.
When windows starts normally the system takes me to the user selection window but because I cannot get any mouse to operate I cannot select any user and therefore cannot get into operational mode.
Anybody got any ideas as to how I can overcome this problem.

That's not the BIOS, that's the Windows boot menu.

You need to go in to your system BIOS (normally pressing the DEL key at first switch on) and enable "Legacy USB" support if you want USB devices working at hardware level.

OK thanks for that .
Tried the Delete button during start up but it did nothing .
Tried both F2 for set up and F12 for boot menu at begining of start up but none of them will select .
How d I get into Bios under these circumstances as I have been advised to burn a disc containg Bios firmware upgrade from Dell and then load onto Pc .

Plug your old PS2 keyboard back in (in to the PS2 port), press F2 when prompted to enter the BIOS, make the change, save & exit.

When disconnecting your old PS2 keyboard, make sure the PC is switched off.
