Is it just over here in Gloucestershire, or countrywide that scrapyards are waking up to the fact that particular parts for old cars justify STUPID prices?
Just been asked for £75 for a h.i.d headlight rod from the front wishbone sensor, and was told....."cant get them anymore, not even from dealers, take it or leave it....." This is from a little place with about 40 scrap cars, not even someone "established"!!
Called Cleave motor salvage (good place) and was told "not got any at the mo, will be £15 when we get one"
What a difference!!! Anybody got one spare???

I've got two good scrapyards not far from me but there is a tool working in one of them so I just avoid him. Last time I went the scrote wanted £150 for a leather interior which was filthy and wet, I asked if he had ever heard of Ebay.

I don't know how some of them have the neck to ask the prices, I know "supply and demand" and all that, but when he said "£75, mate" I nearly said something extremely rude back, but didn't, cos I might need them desperately one day..............

The bit you need IS still available as I bought one a few weeks ago.

yeah......I knew he was bullsh*tting me, but if his price had been OK........
