Saw one this weekend. Looked pretty nice. Tidier hardtop VX220 turbo. Has a VX engine. Is the car supposed to be good? Engine?

i belive its a more 'friendly' Elise/Exige, has gadgets such as air-con and a larger boot!!
I suspect its going to loose some of the handling which made the Elise great. Personally i don't really see the point... if you want a little sports car thats fast and handles well, get the Elise/Exige, if you want comfort and gadgets get an Omega!

Yeah, it is easy to see what they are trying to achieve. The question is how well it worked out. I have ridden in a 111S and it didn't blow me away, front end seemed to push out pretty easily. However, it is a far more interesting car than most. So little personality in most cars.
Exige's are all thrashed and too coarse. As for Elises, I'll have to try one with a fiberglass top. At least as good is the Smart Roadster, or so I hear.
I will go a long way to NOT have a convertible. But I'm not seriously talking about getting a Europa, just curious how well it worked out. Would give me hope that there might be some other interesting cars in the future.

i too can see the market they are going for.... never been in a little lotus or something like that but I would like to some day.
I think it would be great as a second car, but i could not live with it day to day. Need a Monaro for that ;)
Doesn't your Omega ride as hard as a Exige Theo? ;) ;D

I doubt that, but it is firmer than I remember the Elise being.
No, a Lotus isn't your only car.
I'd be more serious about a kit car if there were some decent choices with hardtops.
