Dont have and refuse to pay £10 a month for Sky movies (and sports)  (Think £31+ a month is enough to them)

Yup, already been shown on HBO, up to episode 4 or 5, Sky hyped it up so much, and it look genuinely good, they have shot them selves in the foot, people will torrent it.

Looking forward to it, loved Band of Brothers

Di, you need something like this to replace your Sky box.

http://www.cramptonandmoore.co.uk/Foxsathdr-i610899.html

Only downside (Like Sky) it has no DVD if you want to keep something you record.

martin Imber can tell you f any other plusses with it as he has one.

http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/humax-foxsat-hdr-freesat-hd-receiver-with-hard-drive-320gb-01558382-pdt.html
Is this what I need?
I understand, I pay the £££ for the box and that is it, am I correct?
What channels would I expect to get.
All I have on sky is, well I dunno, I know I got no movies and no sport, everything else I think.
Would I get all the kids channels and docu channels?
Cheers Tunnie, so far so good.

Awww well, that idea out the window then.
So I pay for the box and that is all for the year is it?
I can record on this Humax box like a Sky+ box correct?
Just go into currys and pay for this box, or maybe they are cheaper on eGay. Help needed here folks, as I am all for saving shillings.

Why have the restrictive Sky box when you can have one of these superb bits of equipment, two people have bought one on my recommendation (Entwood & my boss) and they are both happy.

Best UK sat PVR, much better than those Sky thingies

BBC HD would have been a lot better if F1 had been it, was also peeved with BBC in the fact that F1 had been split over BBC1 and 2, as I set it to record and Sky would have only recorded the BBC1 bit on the series setting.  :-/
