Title: Girl groups
Post by: Turk on 05 April 2010, 03:19:35
Nowadays we have Girls Aloud, Sugarbabes, The Saturdays etc, who all make a jolly sound,  but there was a time when a girl group would write their own songs, and 'actually' play instruments too.  Imagine that !!!  :o

Skruntie baby...get with the plan man  !!!  ::)   ;)
Proper girl bands that write their own music, lyrics and play the instruments themselves. (i.e proper live band).

Having said that, it's still a great 'easy listening' kind of tune.  :y
I remember it in the charts. Mississippi was No.1 for 4 or 5 weeks, late '76.
