Afaik, she put her car in the For Sale section. Tunnie "made a suggestion" regarding the Ad ::). Things got a bit heated. Now looks like the for sale thread has been binned and she is an ex member.

i merely commented that her saying 'you all know the car, what price i paid' was not exactly helpful as apart from the main regulars, people don't know the car.

I think Diane has done what I did when I first joined the OOF originally in April 2008. I quickly became "enthused" by being on such a great forum, and committed to many threads and posts. Then a few months in became very upset by a real or perceived underlying unfortunate "attitude" of a few members and their comments, which made me leave in a huff! After two weeks holiday, and a lovely break from routine, I returned to the OOF as I was missing it so much!!::) ::) ::) ::).
I am hoping that Diane will also enjoy a break and then feel the withdrawal symptoms, which will lead to her return. 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) :y :y

everyone gets the huff now and then. you do things on the spur of the moment through anger and regret it as soon as you have cooled down, and then feel stupid. shes probably sitting there reading what everyones saying about her now shes gone.

You were never rude though LZ unlike her. She was a bad mannered person and then wanted everyone's help.

You dont get anywhere being rude to people i find. though i have been on the end of it, i tend to just ignore it. Ive been on car forums for years, and while ladies are in a minority on them i found that if your polite and dont "act" then you will find most people very helpful. I didnt really know Diane, but found some of her endless posts rather annoying ::)

No wondering about it, but i don't have time for anyone who was as bad mannered and two-faced as she is. She would say one thing in public, then demand your help in a PM.

ive developed this cant be bothered and arrogant attitude over the last couple of years and can be very annoying,i dont know why but just seem to have done. but one thing i try hard not to do is offend anyone else. if id do i will always apologise at the earliest possible chance i get. but ive never noticed anything about dianes manner to be offensive as she has always been pleasant to me since she has been on here. so there is no ill feeling from me towards her. :y

I am getting concerned where this forum is actually going.
I am dissappointed being fair.

I agree with Daz & recall something about placing yourself in someone elses shoes.
This is a car fourm after all, so anything else should be regarded, IMHO, pretty much as "pub talk" ..........

a complex character, often patronising and regularly contradicted herself, although she was also quick to apologise if she knew she had done wrong, which is admirable.
I am not backstabbing, I told her as much when she was here.

I think she had quite a few problems that no one was aware of, and yes due to certain things happening in her life it seems to cause complications on her time wise, which in turn screwed things up for her and others. But as you mention she was allways quick to appologise.
I for one wish her all the best for her future and her family and hope that one day she pops back on to the OOF for a catch up. :y :y :y

I quite liked Di, she added a bit of character to the forum. Not everybody's cup of tea I know, but I enjoyed her posts. Never got to meet her either, despite living just down the road :(

We are a community. There will always be people we don't get on with, and those we do. Thats life. However, everybody adds something to the community, and everyone is welcome is long as they stick within the rules that the Admins define for the overall good of the community. As adults, if we can't learn to get along or ignore people we don't like, there is no hope.
I don't know the specifics of this latest event, and even if I did I'm not sure it would be appropriate to comment.

I've advised Diane to contact the Admins with any offending material she has, and let the team investigate and/or take the appropriate action if necessary.
Any further move must be hers and hers alone.
Personally, I'd like to see a happy outcome from this episode, and remain hopeful that it'll indeed materialise.
