How much of the cost of the litre goes straigt to the tax man in one form or another. :-/

How's this for an idea ;) - What we all should do is boycott all the big oil company petrol stations like BP and Esso. Then, if we all used the supermarket stations (Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsburys) to fill up we might force a price war between them hopefully bringing petrol prices down again. :y

that will never happen, brits no longer unit and stand up for what they believe in, its everyman for himself.

................with the Government heaping on the taxes as Skuntie has mentioned to make the cost per litre what it is now!::) ::) ::)

It's about 66% of the cost is tax (duty+vat), current high prices are due to weak pound against the doller which dont help. But we can guarantee they wont drop the price as quick as it went up.

when the lorry drivers picketed the immingham oil refinerys a few yrs ago they were told ( including a cuople of my mates ) that if they didnt leave an give  in they would be arrested and charged as terrorists ,their vehicles would be impounded and they would recieve criminal records !!! i thought we invaded other countrys to rid them of dictators ?? whats happening here ??? !!!!! an people wonder why i rant !!
