Lets say 2 Identical spec cars as in trim, body running gear and colour came up for sale, even as a daft as it is by the same owner, both had full history but one was the mini facelift and the other was a facelift but both the same year a plate prefix.
Even the same mileage.
How much price difference would there be between the 2.
-
In reality I think there will be very little difference in price these days. It would of made a greater difference when these cars where younger.
From a personal view I believe the the pre facelift to built to higher standard and with better quality parts. So for me the pre face would be worth more. But I am sure many will disagree with me. :y
-
very little imho...would just be down to personal preferernce.
2 identical mv6's....I would pick the prefacelift any day of the week.
-
As I thought then, personal preference, I personally like theface lift body work, but prefer the dash out of my slightly older Elite with the climate control etc as I feel (For me) it looks quite distintive.

:y Yep, my '94 Elite had an 'old school' feel to it where as my current F/Lift has more of an 'euro' styling. Not as plush, for want of a better description.

I've got the facelift and like its exterior much one than pre , also like the dash more.
But would chose pre or minifacelift door cards every time over facelift
-
DELIBERATELY chose the mini-facelift when I was looking for a miggy (because I prefer the interior). Unfortunately because my next estate will be a 3.2 elite, suppose I will have to have a facelift one!!
-
It's not just me that prefers the earlier interior (dash) then.
-
I puroposely chose a mini facelift due to the interior.
I also think the exterior looks better too.
-
Its a fact that sales dropped when the FL came in, many company car users simply didn't like them and went elsewhere - if they had a choice that is
-
Maybe its just me.....but I think the facelift looks like someone was told " just make it look a bit more modern inside and out, but don't spend much cos we are going to discontinue it soon".
The mini-facelift seems to have more style and character for me.
Now I've opened up a can of worms.........!!

Hey have you been having a sneaky look on my driveway ;)I have a mini facelift MV6 1999 and a facelift 2000 at the mo,both blue...I much prefer the interior of the mini facelift the facelift interior gets scratched too easily But I prefer the exterior of the facelift..I have decided to sell my mini facelift I will be putting it up at the weekend. It has a couple of minor faults but very low mileage 65k I hope I dont regret keeping the facelift
