Haven't seen the last three episodes (on nights), going to watch them this weekend. So won't be looking here again  ::)

I hear there's going to be a follow up series set in the 80's......

I'll say this much for it, having never watched any of it at all til last night cos it hadnt struck me as a "sounds interesting" kind of program, I caught the last 15 minutes of it during channel hopping and was gutted I hadnt watched it from the first episode!

The train bits were filmed in Bury, on the East Lancs Railway line. Worth a trip along the line to Ramsbottom (no jokes please  ::) ) & Rawtenstall by diseasal or steam train/loco for those in the area(ish). There's also a real ale pub - aptly named the Trackside - that is err on the trackside!   ;)
The tunnel where a lot of the action took place, also saw action of a different kind  ::) many years ago while Mrs Andy B and I were first going out!  ;)  ;) (it was the late 70s & the line was still closed at the time)

Bear with me .... there is a connection to the title of the post.

My dad is an undertaker, and he was attending a funeral service today when a Morris Minor Traveller turned up. As the woman driving the Morris got out of the car my Dad commented on her car saying that you don't see many on the road these days, to which she replied 'you don't see many black MkII Granadas either'.
My Dad .....  how did you know what I drive?
Woman ...... I see you at the Funeral directors near my house.
My Dad ...... I recognise your face, but I can't place you.
Woman ..... I'm the desk sergant from Life on Mars

Did anyone see the 'guv' on Paul O'Gradey show? He said that they wanted to get back to basics and get around all this PC crap, so back to 70's it was.

Bloody brilliant, and refreshing to watch. Just blows the typical PC type programs like 'The Bill' and other dramas out of the water which always have to have to be PC and have a pregant women, black guy, lesbian & gays, in every episode!!!
