Well tomorrow I'm driving to Italy (Milan)
But I'm doing it in small sections,
Day 1: Glasgow to Newcastle; 180 miles on the road, Then overnight ferry to Amsterdam.
Day 2: Drive from Amsterdam to Kaiserslautern Germany, 340 miles, I'm going via Luxembourg as fuel is only £1.00 a litre there :y, Overnight.
Day 3: Kaiserslautern to Milan, Via Switzerland, 378 miles, top the tank up in Switerland as fuel around £1.00 a litre
Fuel in Holland around £1.40 a litre for unleaded :-/
Fuel in Germany around £1.30 for unleaded :-/

Have fun. Should be a leisurely drive.
Petrol "only" 1 euro 17 here yesterday for unleaded (bit out of the way for you though!)
