Title: How heavy
Post by: Elite Pete on 19 April 2010, 09:30:03
Does anyone have an idea how heavy an AR35 is including torque convertor. The couriers wouldn't accept very f*****g heavy ::)

TIA

From memory about 3000 kg but estimates are 70 to 90Kg. It would be less without oil in it!

I have an old knackered AR 25 in the garage but have no way of weighing it.

Thats the problem I have.  The bathroom scales struggle with my weight let alone me holding a gearbox ;D

I can lift and maneuver the box on my own for short distances.  I'd guestimate between 55 and 60 KG, empty(ish) of fluid.

I've fitted one on my own and got this one out of the boot of the car and up to my shed but I will admit my arms were like an Orangutans when i'd finished  ;D

have you tried putting it on a pallet and sending it via pallet express.
I got a ar35 for a senny delivered for £50 from penzannce to falkirk nearly 500 miles that was 5 years ago.
