Whats all that about then :o
New phrase to me can anyone give me a nice simple explanation :-[
At work and it just popped into my head !

each coil on the DIS pack connects to two spark plugs. It fires twice - so one cylinder will be full of air/fuel mixture and go pop, the other will be on the exhaust stroke and firing the spark plug will do nowt. So the firing of the latter is a waste = wasted spark :y

The later K series are same - the ones with the 2 coil packs on top of the plugs...

yeah would explain the term wasted spark or dizzy engined t series too. Coil or distributer based :y
