Give it another couple of years and there won't be any need for speed cams either because the tarmac we have now is already way beyond shagged.

5 minutes with a still saw should do the trick ::) ::)
On a more serious note they should also fine drivers for going to slow on motorways like forcing a hgv to over take a slow moving old fuddy duddy doing 40mph. :-X :-X
Also increase the speed limit to 80mph on certain M-ways.
No less than 60 no more than 80.  :y
well rant over

I think the motorway speed could do with annother 10 mph adding to it, but stiffer rules adding in the proces.

Minimum (but different) speeds set for each lane unless they cant be adhered to for traffic reasons.

Stricter rules forcing all traffic to keep to stay out of the fast lane unless overtaking.

Personally I think lane hogging regardless off speed is one of the worst problems on the motorways.

Have you noticed how they always use the excuse that they 'Reduced death, and accidents!!!' Yeah Right. ::)
Pity they can't catch, and give deterrent sentences to the criminal fraternity.
OH! They don't generate the vast amounts of cash that motorists shell out!! >:(

Those rules MAY work on a few motorways, but the ones I use are so congested there's no chance of speeding or lane changing.

the only problem here is on a 3 lane plus motorway us hgv drivers can't use lane 3 and you still get the old eegits doing 50 or less in lane 2 >:( and its not the first time ive under taken someone in lane 1 ;)

Hence the reason there should be a minimum speed limit imposed on old foegy's
