don't let the bar stewards grind you down  :y

you're doing what 90% of people on benefits aren't - you're looking for a job  ;)

And you know what i aint gone into the dole office once...All done online and through word of mouth...I see it on the jobcentre plus web site and i either ring up and apply or via e-mail and send my cv.It just means i aint wasting bus fare or petrol going up there.... :o

5 applications and 5 replies-  not bad!
I applied for over three hundred jobs last year and got less than 50 replies!
I managed to get back to work though, so chin up and keep at it!!! :y

Dont agree with that matey, by law thay have to give you something to live on, unless there are other reasons and they should give them to you.

spam the CV out there, i applied for 100's of jobs first time around, second time around applied for at least 20/30 jobs, but i was not really looking just randomly spamming.

What field of job?

I find JobServe excellent: http://www.jobserve.com/

Best of luck Bertie. I was out of work for nearly 12 months and had just 2 interviews in that time.

Unfortunately I had to lower my expectations and take a HUGE pay cut (£32,000 to about £13,000) But I now get home at roughly the same time every night, get to spend a lot more time with my wonderful babies, and I can switch my brain off as soon as I get in.

Whereas in my old job I used to (unwillingly) wake at 3am with whatever machine problems swirling around in my mind. It was a flipping nightmare.

Plus I now get to drive some pretty special motors (E class, S class, RR Sport, Jag XF) All things I would never be able to afford in my lifetime!!!!
