Title: Why golf is the only true sport left

imagine you've never won a PGA tour event, imagine you're in a play-off on the final day on the first play-off hole

well done Londoner Brian Davis - trust me, no one would have noticed (and most wouldn't know it was a penalty anyway) that he's clipped a loose reed, but he called the foul himself, called over the ref who dished out a 2 shot penalty. He lost the hole and the title, but won a lot more  :y

Great sporting gesture, and exactly how it should be played. Rugby league also compares very well to Football, it just shows that they are like childeren, the more slack you give them, the more they will take.
Why not introduce a rugby rule into football, everytime they argue with the ref, let the other team take a free kick 10 yards further up field.

all football need to do is review each "diving" incident - 3 game ban if a panel of ex-players judge it to be a dive - simple. then after a few weeks the message would get through  :y

Gentlemanly sportsmanship...or quick thinking, brownie point scoring.  I notice he called the official after the shot had overun and was unlikely to sink it in one.  ::)
Having said my cynical bit, well done for getting that far. :y
