Halfway through the election, thought it might be interesting to have another poll :y
-
where is the monster raving loony party? :-/

Surely you forgot an option: I'm bored senseless with these kids, when is it over, I care not as long as the current muppets are out.
I still think my policies are better than all theirs.
-
I voted UKIP and there were just two votes shown and the other was Conservative. This must surely mean that Banjax has come out as a Tory!
Knew he would in the end. ;) ;D ;D

In reality, only 3 parties have a chance of ruling. What is more important than chosing between Lib Dems and Tories is which is most likely to oust Labour. So my decision will be made nearer May 6th ;)
We cannot afford another 4yrs of the mismanagement we have tolerated for the past 13yrs, or risk another 4yrs of a party plainly out of sensible ideas.
I'm not saying the Lib Dems or Tories are any better, just different.

When I lived in England, I used to vote Lib Dems in the local elections. They were very dynamic in our area. The only party that ever knocked on doors and when you made suggestions for improvements in the area they did them.
It is a sad state of affairs in British politics that even if people now voted more for the Lib Dems than wretched Labour or wretched Tory they would still be unlikely to have a majority. Lib Dems would get my vote nonetheless for a) No to wasting vast sums on Trident and b) stance on Europe. Probably just as well I can't vote for an MP here or back in the UK due to stupid EU laws.
I am dreading a hung parliament as that will almost certainly cause a run on the pound rendering the Varche £millions salted away in the Nationwide B/S worthless. There will also no doubt be a Greek style problem with the UK debt level. bad news for anyone planning a foreign holiday this year.

Not carping, but I don't understand that bit. The LibDems are the most pro-Europe of all yet you make a point of calling EU laws "stupid". Perhaps you just mean the voting laws. As I said, not having a go - just wanted a bit of clarity. :-? ;)

Re stupid laws. As an expat immigree here in Spain I haven't been able to vote for a National MP but can vote for a local mayor or a Euro MP. By the same token I cannot vote for an MP back in England (understandably). To me it is a stupid law although politics are in a similar parlous state here to.
Re Stance. yes I do mean pro Europe. As I have said before Britain is in the EU but won't admit it. I would love to see Britain either participate in the club or leave the club.

Thanks for that explanation, Varche. :y :y
I like the idea of leaving. But then, you knew that, anyway. ;) ;D ;D ;D

OK, but I don't have a beard or read the Guardian............OK I don't have a beard :y

I'm with TheBoy. The only positive thing that can come out of this election is Labour on the scrap heap, and that's what I'll be voting for. I fear we'll end up with something much worse - Labour in a coalition.

itll be under my tractor changing another gearbox >:( ;D

Don't know. I usually vote Conservative, but I live in a "don't bother" constituency - safe Conservative - 20th on Labour's Target List.
Have to say, though, that Clegg and his policies impress me more than Cameron and his.
But as TB says, we have to get Brown out. If we don't, the whole country will sink without a trace. Everyone should vote tactically to ensure that that he goes and stays gone - don't let him creep in again as part of a coalition.
-
it's in no way representative I know, but as Peter Snow says "just a bit of fun" I put the results into the beebs swingometer.............
Hung parliament!!!
Tories on 305 seats, LibDems on 51 and everyone else 294
Labour 0 seats :o
::) ::) ::)
