£200 for a flywheel is good?

Glad I don't drive a manual.

It was me looking for a flywheel, but I got a secondhand one in the end - then didn't need it !

Buypartsby are great, I use them quite a bit. The Omega wishbones are £17+VAT and they're better than the last ones I bought elsewhere.

Actually my new LUK clutch came from Buypartsby too - very reasonable.

Glad I don't drive a manual.

They generally don't break. Mine's on 170k now, just had a new clutch (genuine VX total cost less than £200 inc labour), and I expect the box, flywheel and clutch to go for another 170k with no further maintenance. If the engine doesn't give up or the tinworm eat the bodywork first. Not many slushboxes will get to 170k with no maintenance. Compare the cost of a new flywheel to that of a new slushbox (which do break occassionally) and I know what I'd rather be paying for ;)

My slushy is on 138k, I really should change the oil, but it seems to be working fine...

As an aside, if you haven't already, it may be worth changing you g/box oil.
