David Cameron: "I love Friends, but I never got into Seinfeld"
You love Friends????? (bland, lame, popular aspirational sitcom featuring 6 main characters (only one of whom is actually funny - and please...if you have to ask.....) all doing a variety of jobs (waitress, out of work actor, busker/masseuse somehow holding the rent together for two beautiful roof apartments in the middle of NY :-?
You never got into Seinfeld - sharp, witty, cruel, non-pc...less popular (in this country....bizarrely)?? Sorry that beggars belief DC - for that reason - I'm out :y
You probably find "Only Fools and Horses" hilarious and never 'got' Frasier either (more Only Fools fans DC...smart) :o

Hang on, you're basing your vote on what a party leader watches on TV? Strewth, god forbid should one ever admit to have watched Neighbours.....
Or is it confirmation of your choice along TV viewing preference lines?

You know, I actually think he is. ::) ::)

choice of TV program warrants - 'serious lack of judgment' :o :o
-
hello....is this thing on....tap tap......... :o

I have found my choice of viewing/listening material has changed as I have got older. When young/teenager/twenties I would never ever listen to the news. Now (44) I find the news is often the best programme to listen/watch.
I personally prefer comedy programmes when I do watch for entertainment purposes. But should I be criticised for my viewing choice ?
Personally I love programmes like 2 pints of Lager and a packet of crisps, Coming of Age, and Shameless. All I would say, programmes aimed at the less intelligent amongst us. Yet I find them to be a kind of release from the every day work/life pressures.

I like Spongebob :y

You made it sound like that was the cherry on the cake to confirm your decision of political party..................based on TV rather than policy, substance and leadership.
Sorry that beggars belief DC - for that reason - I'm out

Yep ... sounds good to me ;D

I'm voting Tory.
Applecart upset, job done.
Simply because that useless, mindless, gormless, un-elected f**kwit Brown needs getting out.
I could go on, but I really don't think there's any need.
I'm David Cameron........

Me too, decided that getting Liebore and Brown out of power is more important than sending a message about Europe atm :y

didn't the useless, one-eyed scottish prat claim his favourite programmes were X-Factor and Britain's Got Talent? That just about sums up the kind of chav he is.....
-
The list of unforgivable sins he has commited is almost endless, but if I had to pick one out it just might be that he robbed, plundered and virtually destroyed a private pension system which was the envy of the rest of the world. The consequences of what he did will take a long time to really become apparent (and he knew it,which was beyond cynical) but when they do there will be millions of pensioners who worked and saved all their lives who will be living in poverty. >:( >:( >:( >:(

Its not easy.
We have a useless got and his crones running the counrty who have achieved nothing despite running up huge debts, being poor at basic fiscal control and have a proven track record of 'lack of judgement'
Against 2 othermain stream parties who have little track record.
They say its better teh devil you know but, the existing devil is so poor, this is the exception.

now here is the question for the master,
why a poor devil who even cant manage a home budget is in duty (same is true for my country also) ?
and what guarantees the others to be better ?
-
That is the risk.
The question would be, do you keep taking your Omega to the same bodger when hes been screwing up the jobs on it for years or, do you chance your hand on somebody new.
I am amazed that the opposition parties have not been beating the 'Labour are shite at fiscal management' drum harder!

clever answer not falling in traps.. ;D :y
and here is my answer why they were not beating labour on economy subject..
because they already knew they cant perform much better with the given condtions and parameters..
and they also knew, soon they will make other mistakes..
and before answering my questions:
we have a minister in the related economy field in the same building with me.. nickname "baby"..
and I think even the nickname explains the situation.. As a general rule, people used to think the pm and the ministers rule the country.. but
thats rarely the case.. On a normal working system and except the period of elections, the burocrats are mostly in charge.. they prepare everything and
bring for the final sign.. and in a way they control the sharp edges of politicians and try to keep things at least in order.. of course there are times that things go out of control ending with resigns of burocrats .. :-/
as you all know economy is a science where white and black are not that easy to distinguish sometimes.. and although its a very hard subject have you seen real masters of economy in charge as ministers and or as a pm.. here the answer is no..
because the system itself is contradicting with economical rules.. (sorry will continue later )
-
;D ;D ;D ;D
This is politics, you spend your time pointing out the oppositions failings independent of if you can do better or not.
Reality is that Uk plc's economy has been poorly run for 10+ years, I think even STMO could do a better job.

(continued)
now think of the scenario, you are a politician and you are elected by the votes of workers which you dictate the salaries, taxes and all related stuff..
even if the system was like a thermodynamically isolated closed vessel and the only factors are those (which is not the case actually) still you cant easly bypass those factors and decide within the laws of economics and go for cuts..
second; you will need to finance and support (very detailed subject) your party in which you will need serious amounts of money and other things that the poor masses cant help you in which case you need the supoort from rich classes that wont give you even a chewing gum without any expectation.. :-X
now consider the scenario that all delegates and other members in the party have many people-relations around them which expects some promises to be hold..
Considering those network of relations , your hands even before you become elected already tied up .. :-/
Now to complete the picture , the final episode ; the highest level of priority which is international powers and historical relations with them.. As a country having a past you belong to either this side or that side of the powers of the world..
rules are written before you and neither you nor the others after you cant change without living really serious ill effects including wars.. >:( :(
now, taking into consideration all these factors, do you believe (even if you are clever enough) you are free to govern the country how you want.. :-/
My answer is; I dont.. And of course in reality the deciding classes (not only at the national level) manipulate the political life so that there is no chance that the masses can freely elect who must be .. in fact its just a theatral tv show that we watch and believe we are living in democracy..
