If the story regarding the 'bridge repairs' is true (know what offsprings are like), then there should be no problems with acceptance of his ticket.

He needs to have a chat with a friendly conductor (like moi) and hey presto - the 'resumed' journey's a good 'un!
 :y
Staff would be well aware of the previous day's situation, have no fear of that!
 ;)

Sorry, how is this you're problem ?
If the Bridge issue stopped him getting him a train down there, I'd bet good money he'd have got there under his own steam/ingenuity  >:(
Been there, got the rash  ;) ;)

Unfortunately been there and got the tee-shirt etc. No comfort I know but its nothing out of the ordinary as I find out when I discuss my kids with my friends.

You've just gotta be careful not to drive them away. They need to be able to contact you when they need help and not hide it away. Not trying to preach just sharing experiences. :y

I do have to laugh, kids are kids and they will always try it on. Its in there nature and it was all of our nature as well in one point in time. He got home safe thats really the only part that matters. I would go out at any time of the night to help any body. Thats just me but i know alot of people are different

hitched a lift, blagged his way, hidden in the toilets....... it's all part of growing up.  Happened to me a couple of times when I was a kid, and was even deliberately put in a similar situation once as a leadership test.  Parents were defo the last resort because I knew I would pay dearly!  ;D ;D

But you was there to get him out the brown stuff and hopefully when he has kids he will do the same. At the end of the days mum and dad are there to guide and help there children. So you make him get a job and pay back the money lesson learned. Its all a part of growing up and can you honestly say you have never been stuck and ask some one to help you. At least he knows he can rely on you when he needs you.
