Title: Another Rant!
Post by: Drewomega on 10 May 2010, 19:31:14
I find it unbelievable that this country given the dire straits we are in, the politicians are still arguing who won what and where ffs! Lets get on with the job and get this once wonderful country out of the shitemire! It seems to me that all they are doing is how much they can get out of the whole mess and how much they can make out of it in the future. Rant over (for now!)  :y

Yes, but the Scots can vote in the "English" Parliament, but the English can't vote in the Scottish Parliament. Makes sense...not. ;)

we dont have an english parliament, we have a UK parliament which happens to be in England.
We have Scots MP,s voting that people in England pay prescription charges, university fees etc and MP,s in the Scottiish parliament voting the oppisite for Scotland (similar story in Wales and N.i.) the whole thing has become completely unfair imo. Why not have an English parliament for English matters and then the full UK parliamnet for matters which involve the whole of the UK ? ;)

lets not forget that the word "parliament" is, of course, derived from the french "parler" -to talk-and"mentir"-lies. "to talk lies". ;D

Why call them that?

This is a new bunch so you cannot compare them with the party of old.

There are scummy polititians but not scummy parties in general
