Does anyone have any experience of these at all please?
Am with Swiftcover at the moment and they seem to issue two separate policies with full NCB on both?
I'm wondering if other companies do it any different as you can obviously only drive one car at a time?

Am really liking "Admiral Multicar" at the mo, save £120 on insuring 2 cars, and kept no-claims.....!!
-
Am with Admiral multi car, was £470 for 2 x V6 Migs, 2nd hed 0% NCD, 2nd year down to £400
Not sure what this year will be as I have moved to what they class as a Higher Risk post code, even though it is in a lower risk area. But I will gain and added years NCD.

Admiral great for me as well - 3 cars covered for total mileage of 31000 - £800 the lot fully comp and protected NCB

I use swiftcover for this, but had to set my add ons over the phone, mirrored policies, down side is claim on one then they all go up (in theory), not bad for me though, pretty much £155 full com and bussiness per car. :y
Think my cut off point would be about 5 cars before I need to go down the Traders Policy bit.

I used Admiral's multi-car policy last year for my Omega, my crappy Astra TD & her Astra 1600. Prorata for the whole year it would've worked out to be around £700/£750. This year they wanted around £1100 for the same cars.
This year they're insured via Tradex Ins Co http://www.tradexinsurance.co.uk/products/default.asp?category=356 for £720 the lot - & apparently I can add another car to it yet. :y

For the right set of circumstances Multi Vehicle Insurance is fantastic. Setting aside Admiral as their offering is no more than a glorified reward programme (which obviously works for some people), a risk where there are more vehicles than drivers can save £££s. e.g. £774 for 10 cars!

Spill the beanz then Robin :y My Tradex (http://www.tradexinsurance.co.uk/) policy allows 4 cars with 2 drivers for £720

I believe that our account with Tradex is their biggest multi vehicle insurance account and we get preferential terms because we specialise in multi vehicle insurance. Unfortunately we are unable to better a Tradex quote (where we would otherwise be able to do so) for an existing Tradex policyholder.
The purpose of my posting was simply to encourage people to think about genuine multi vehicle insurance and to provide an example of a recent case - there are more on our http://www.facebook.com/MultiVehicleInsurance page.
I am not saying that we can always insure vehicles for the equivalent of £77 each!

I doappreciate that there are loads of variable that can affect a premium. I was happy enough with their quote. (via a broker darn sarf somewhere .... just looked and they're in your neck of the woods - Romford ;))

Clegg Gifford by any chance?
Spot on! :y
Found via a google search for multi-car policies. I hope you're not going to tell me a tale of woe. ::) ;)
-
Clegg Gifford are owned by Roy Clegg who also owns Tradex, so no tales of woe!
However, we are independent, we specialise in multi vehicle and use several insurers.
That's the end of the advert before I get thrown off.
Always happy to give advice though.
Best wishes
Robin :)

I'm sure then that as there are various forum members here with 2 or more car you'd be able to help! :y :y

Just accepted my renewal quote last week, allthough insurance is not due till 19th of May, and certainly not as happy with this years price as the last 2 years., it should at least be the same if not less as I have more discount available on my 2nd car, and even got my eye on annother car on the forum at the moment. (Trying to think up reasons not to buy - Currently it's working ::) Dont know how long for though)
