A bit off the normal tack, but.
Small trailer wheel (8-9" ?). Tubeless. Wheel now tyreless too!
Is there a way I can pop it back on myself - not having tyre fitting aids to hand?

I'm sure I've done one myself, just carefully using a lever/screwdriver to ease it over the rim. A compressor would help to inflate it rapidly enough to seal the tyre against the rim till it seats properly.

There is another method that jeremy Clackson used on his trip to Iceland in his other series for the BBC. Involved lighter fluid. ::)

I remember that! ;) You don't see them in ATS doing the same ;D ;D ;D

Yeah but haven't got a cylinder of butane gas with me! (well, I have but it's a new 15kg cylinder [bigger than the wheel] and I can't fly to Iceland at the mo).
Tyre is on the wheel. Can't get a seal. (No rude jokes pls.) Tried the airline at the local (at the time) total garage, Pah no Oomph failed 'totally' - worth a 20p but it doesn't get any better.
- Did tell the mrs to stand-by for a big pop, what a let down!
Further thoughts ? (for the tyre).

ATS/Kwick Fit on a quiet afternoon and ask nicely ;) ;) ;)

take the valve out of the tyre and try the airline again

That's a good idea! :y

Some airlines require you to press a button to give high volume/low pressure to inflate "flat" tyres .. ?
-
Daz will blow it up for you, he's an old windbag.
-
Ah, tried a different airline. Bit more omph, very nearly did it but still a leak and spayed me with the soapy water I'd got everywhere - I reckon I'd got a few PSI in it (no thump mind). Turns out the valve had perished, it wasn't going anywhere.
New valve and its good to go !
PS Couldn't ask Daz - he's not talking to me :(
-
now you have it done fit some puncture safe in it
-
Is that good for trailer wheels then?
I'd usually stay away from anything too gungy.
-
yes its great for all tyres both tube and tubeless
i fit it a lot to caravans as most of them dont have spares.
i quite ofton do the newark autojumble as lots of bikers buy of me i sell diy kits or can come and install it for you
-
Taa.
Sri a bit slow getting back!
Will consider "the gunge" !
- sorted for now but maybe worth doing ahead of 'next time'.
Verus the DIY kits, how much would a couple of trailer (baby) tyres cost?
-
well i could sell you a diy kit that would do both those wheels and leave you enough over to do some more for 23 pounds that includes p'p,or i could come and do it for you for 20 pounds
