Title: Bike Insurance
Post by: tunnie on 15 May 2010, 10:02:12
I paid £400 for the year (fully comp) to insure the beemer, that included unlimited mileage, green card, key loss cover, pillion & commuting. Not bad for just 1 year NCD on a £6k, 1200cc bike and me being 25.

I called up to enquire how much extra it would be to insure in London, reply - "no problem Sir, that will be an extra £2,145 on top of your current policy"  :o

I politely declined the offer, if i downsized the bike to something like a 125cc twist-go its down to much more reasonable £288 but only third party  :o - Trouble comes from fact it would not be garaged  :(

Its going to be a bit of a step down from a 1200cc  ;D

BMW is OTT for London anyway, i barely got it above 50mph, too many red lights and speed cameras  :(

Aint that the truth, Tunnie. went to Hammersmith on mine (Suzuki RF900) the other day, thinking it would be soooo much quicker, got a few sticky moments, and only arrived 10 mins faster than using the miggy!  HAH!

on the good side, found somewhere to park easily, and for a lot less money.......

I hate London BTW......I swear Taxi drivers aim for you on a bike............!!
