I have had no internet or telephone for 36 hours and I was so lost without them. Makes me wonder how I managed 20 years ago ::)

1) We did things on time and planned ahead -- not in a last minute rush.

2) We had periods in our lives of relative peace and relaxation.

3) We didn't feel guilty about "getting away from it all".

4) People understood that you were not contactable (or on the end of an electronic piece of string) 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Remember those "lazy sunday afternoons" in the garden, listening to John Peel  :) :)
