Title: mad dogs and englishmen
Post by: pscocoa on 23 May 2010, 15:36:43
My wife's away and so thought i would do a short bike ride to my daughter's place to keep fit (not been on bike for a while). Temperature was not too bad when i set off on what I thought was about 10 miles in total - just measured distance on mapyourpassion website and was 15 miles going via Blackwater Valley Path. I am absolutely drained even now after going from shade to open at noon!!.

I must force myself to do more - but not at these temperatures.

You should have popped in to the Prince of Wales at Farnborough North for some liquid refreshment. :y

I've been sitting behind an 8.2 litre V8 at the gliding club and that wasn't any too cool either.

Suppose I should resurrect my bike now the weather's better. ::)

I did 4 miles on mine on Friday in 30degC heat , loads of hills. Hadn't been out on it for ages. Won't be doing it again for ages either! ;D ;D ;D

Stop exercising now! You will die. I've hardly ever exerted myself and I feel great. Every time I had sex with the wife I used to take two days off work to recuperate. I don't even bother with that these days.

most i have done was a 45 mile hike in the scouts, 32 years ago. but im a keen walker now, usually 18 or sometimes 36 holes, which is about 13000 yards in total, and the extra hole afterwards  ;)
