Allegedly a multiple choice question from a GCSE Chemistry paper sat today:
Q. What fluid is used in the home for drinking and washing?
A. Water, Copper, Salt or Soap?

Caution: fruity language (perhaps unsurprisingly)

FFS! Everyone knows it's either (a) Caustic Soda on a 'good' day
or....
(b) Iron Bru for the 'Morning after' ::) ;) ;D

My daughter is 8 and could answer that ( I reckon my son who is 3 could do too) does that mean she could pass her GCSEs early then.... ::)

surely the point of an examination is to grade academic achievement, asking a question that 99% of students can answer correctly absolutely defeats the purpose........if most of them get an A, how does an employer separate the wheat from the chaff? :o
