Another errored article (never fitted to the Senator!).......I wish they would get the facts right...

As for sealent on the rubber seal....no need....its so well fixed to the cover its not required.....or come to that recommended as its likely to damage the seal at the next change....and do you think it will get changed?

Just to diversify a little, Noticed in the Haynes that it seems to imply that VX recomend 80k  over the revised 40k...  that's how I read it anyway...  Doing mine on Saturday @ 43 k.. watched the "EXCELLENT" dvd AGAIN !!!!  I plan to go fully armed c/w laptop and dvd as an essential part of the tool kit..

I read that article... load of cobblers!  >:(

The V6 Ecotec engine has a quite straightforward timing belt assembly, well when the engine is pointing the right way! ;)

Now the Alfa V6 is a challenge!!

I agree with Mark also about this tosh of applying sealant to the cambelt rubber seal. I think that will create more problems!

The cambelt on my Dyson broke. Wouldn't suck anything for ages. Then, got the Electrolux. Now that sucks or rather it doesn't. Crap compared to a Dyson.

Nothing to do with cambelts really, just senaking in the back door and mentioning that Dysons are good and Electrolux is crap.

There.
