I’m sorry that you’ve been the victim of this cowardly act RB but this is symptomatic of the 'couldn't care less' attitude of many in this country who are devoid of any level of personal responsibility.
Resulting, in all probability, from poor parenting, overexposure to the make-believe world of television, OK magazine, celebrity culture, alcohol, prescription drugs and the belief that in this welfare society, someone else always sorts the matter out and picks up the tab >:( >:(

Russell did this happen in the car park of a supermarket / outlet store? If so might be worth asking if anything was captured on CCTV. This is after all a criminal offence of failing to stop at an accident scene.
-
nope..... wouldn't have called police at time just wanted to hurt individual. cant understand with the expense of running a vehicle that people would have more care.
this car was my father in laws before me and he only used it weekend i have tried to carry on this ideal of looking after car best i can then.... ::)
because its in awkward place (the dent) i am going to have to filler dent and prob spray can the rear quarter ( i have never blended pain tand don't want it looking a bodge up
-
what about one of these paintless dent master types/miracle workers??
-
I always park the farthest away from any other cars, when possible :y

I'm not sure that this is true, my understanding is that because this occured on private property they wouldn't have to inform the insurance, let alone commit an offence :(
Still deserve a slap tho'

me too or park next to something more expensive than my car :y
i remember seeing a middle aged woman reverse one of those small mercedes A Classes out of a car park spot, she smacked into a huge bollard, ripping the front of her bumper and smashing her light off (i had been trying to tell her to stop but she was too busy chatting to her friend in the car).
She got out looked at it, laughed then jumped back in and shouted its only a car and drove off :o :o

as far as cctv footage is concerned. firstly you have to ask the camera owners data controller for the information under the freedom of information act, which they can charge an admin fee for. however due to their being 3rd party information on there too they can refuse to divulge the information under the third parties data protection act, then you have the problem of getting the police interested. ::) ::)
the offence of leaving scene of accident still stands even on private land however your insurance will not payout on most policies. know this because im area manager for security firm. its this usual run around that means most incidents like this the offender gets away with it...b*****d's :-/
