Pretty sure Frank Beard wouldn't fling himself round like that to such a simple drumbeat, how inappropriate / uncool  ;D ;D ;D

Best laugh I've had for ages Debs, thank you  ;D ;D ;D

I thought it was funny, too, Debs.

In fact, it so impressed me that I accidentally reposted. Sorry!

I've deleted the post, though, so I don't look too stupid. ;)

Brilliant, could listen to/watch drum solos all day. Have to confess I haven't heard of any of these though. The middle one was most listenable IMO

Edit...

They're all session drummers - Vinnie Colaiuta probably most famous for drumming with Frank Zappa although did see him recently playing on a Herbie Hancock DVD which has Joni Mitchell singing in it (pure class).

The dude in the middle is Steve Gadd drummed with Paul Simon and is now drumming for James Taylor.

Finally Dave Weckl - absolutely flawless technique and in my opinion the best drummer to have ever lived!!!  He drummed for the Chick Corea band but now has his own.  Definitely music for drummers - some of the Chick Corea stuff is a bit a cheesy although the playing is incredibly slick.

Don't forget the king who revolutionised drumming - Buddy Rich!   :y :y :y
