In light of the threads posted recently about profanity, racism, bad jokes, sniping comments, etc, can I suggest a new category in the forum, "ANYTHING GOES". can be passworded easily, and marked NWS or have a warning on it??? If you don't want to see it, don't go in it.....and if its passworded, non-members/children cannot read it either!!

Briliant thought, but it would be coming from a musician.
Anything to keep the bad taste jokes going.
I really think it is a good idea, except someone will tell their saucepans the password.

Trying to find some oil for troubled waters, methinks.
However, I do enjoy a bit of banter, both pc and non-pc (as you know....) and there is a time and place for everything, so maybe this idea could be the place?? Mods would not have to police it so much, and nobody under age/not a member can be shocked or offended by the content of it. You can never stop anyone getting the password by word of mouth, but it can be changed at the end of each month, and only the people who want the password can PM the mods for it, so it can be RELATIVELY secure........??
Besides, a bit of sexual innuendo can be good for the soul.........and brighten up the day, don't you think??

You're talking about a "Shed"?
I don't think the original "Shed" worked and I don't think it would work here, to be frank.
It's another area to moderate (yes, it would still need careful moderation. There is still content that would be unacceptable in an "anything goes" area.) and it would result in further dilution of the posts that members might actually be interested in reading, IMHO.
I wonder how many members come here to read endless bad taste jokes? I'm sure there are better places to get your fill, if that's what you desire.

if you want bad taste, go to sickipedia, and stop reposting them here.
omegaowners.com is a worldwide help site, and not a suitable arena for them imho, we have members all over the world, it is not a few mates sharing a joke privately.
this site is primarily for omega help, and happens to have a chat section.

Only a thought, Kev. I certainly love the forum, its on in the background all day in my office......I don't personally post jokes or drivel, but some like it.
Certainly want OOF to continue, too many people here i like and respect, both for their knowledge and their amicability.
Hope others think the same of me, and I will always help whenever I can, its a two-way thing.
If I can help...........just ask.

No problem. :y All thoughts welcome, and I appologise if it appears to have been dismissed out of hand but it is something that's been considered and decided against in the past.

from web coding view, it requires extra implementation to keep passwords for threads and needs to be kept also on database and backup..
and some facilities in case passwords are forgotton.. :-/
