It's only the backbox... you can see all the cotton wool blocking the exit! The tester put a rubber glove on exhaust to watch it blow up!

That connector came loose.. putting it into limp mode.... meaning it pulled away about as fast as a snail!

So is the gearbox problem just down to the broken pin on the connector?
If you need to source a new pin to repair it you might want to have a look at http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.co.uk/. They have an assortment of different pins for various automotive connectors. You could extract the old pin, solder a new one onto the wire and then poke it back into the connector.
Failing that I guess you could get a complete connector from a breaker and splice the wires together in the loom. If you could extract the pin you could do this just for the broken pin, thinking about it.

Turn up with the back seat full of child seats and they can't test the seatbelts!
