Title: quick computor question

Just tried to play a dvd on my pc,but an error came up.Windows media player cannot play dvd video C00d116a,checked the Microsoft web site.It says install and run windows xp video decoder checkup utility.I have but it wants me to download something called active x.Just wanted to know from you experts if i am going down the right path,im not good with computers so any help gratefully appreciated Dean :-[

Yes but i had some problems a month ago when someone hacked my pc and infected it with a virus.Bt sorted it out but this is the first time i have tried to play a dvd on it since

its called VLC and it a brilliant little player with all the rubbish stripped out, it just plays everything!

https site - it's perfectly safe  :y check the time and date settings on the pc - might be as simple as adjusting to the correct date  :y

Its a fantastic little player, its light, no bulky crap you get with Media Player or the sack off poo Real Player. It just does what you want it to, play movies!

Never thought it would happen but for once I agree with Tunnie, I have used VLC PLayer for years and NEVER ever had a problem, even plays part downloaded files, I love it and would never use anything else.
