Ok so this has been talked about a few times but never quite managed to get this off the ground. Sixstring has mentioned he is up for it, Daz before and i am sure Chris might be up for a blast?
One of the ideas was to visit H21 up in Fife, which is something i want to do, but thats more long-haul and is going to take planning. So this is more of a quick ride out idea.
Hard bit is finding someware to go with good roads, open to ideas if we just do a day or overnight at a B&B.
Wales could be an option, roads were really nice, as long as weather is good. Only couple of hours from here for most, we can meet up along the way. Daz could also make his way down?
Thoughts?

Give me around 3 years notice and I should have the G9 ready for a run out. ;D

All the single rooms gone already? Tunnie et al all pre booked no doubt?

Dont forget though, where ever you go for the trip to give Tunnie a 100 mile start as he only has a BMW. ::) ;D ;D

any group of riders, only ever as quick as the guy at the back, or the guy with the shortest tank range.
Although i'm not sure if we're allowed in the company of that badge? ;)

How many of us actually are there on bikes??
-

Anyone else got a trail bike or MX style bike ?
These are great fun, but not much good for long distance work.

I've got a Moto X bike but it's not street legal (minor detail). Could plate it up but wouldn't be allowed out in the dark :'(
Could always Super Moto it to get a ticket on it. Would be fun. :y :y

Very nice bike. Thought I was the only one on here with a proper bike ;D
Have you tried it on tarmac ? I run proper trail tyres and get a good level of grip on tamac, enough for a small stoppie. :y

Well that poll has cleared things up, not!

I like the idea of an OOF ride-out.
Wales for a day probably would be a bit of a stretch for me, but a weekend would be do-able. Scotland sounds good also.
Is the poll multi-option?

Sorry, should have said multi-selection ::)
and no, it isn't......

its always going to be hard to pick a location as everyone is spread across UK. My vote was over-nighter in Wales

A ride around Essex sounds good. :y :D ;D

I think your bigger problem is differing riders abilities - faster riders will be frustrated by slower riders, and slower riders may try a bit beyond their abilities in an attempt to keep up. Bad recipe...
Personally, I like to ride slower than partially due to a 21yr old bike, with 21yr old performance/handling/braking

I could probably manage that! ;D
Wales has some lovely roads if it's not been raining recently. Fantastic road over Black Mountain tests your 0mph cornering on 1:10 gradients!
If I find some work I could probably afford the petrol!

I am up for a ride out, don't really mind where but I have Voted For My Dad's :y :-*

No, trust me, I do. I don't (often) do the high speed stuff - spending lots of time in 3 figures is not going to do my poor old bike many favours, so I mostly refrain....

I'm hoping 150 will be enough for me. (It's a Harley !! :D)
