Post by: Radar on 10 June 2010, 13:42:49
Omega 2.2cdx petrol auto, metallic blue, 53 plate, fsh, 29,000 miles - can anyone give any feedback of what it should be going for?

With that mileage I would expect at least £2500, if it's in good condition.

Don't expect it to sell quickly though, there's loads of 2.2's up for sale.

My 2.2 CD just sold for £1800, that was a 03 plate with 93000 on.......I'm happy with that price :y

Cheaper insurance, some parts cheaper, a lot easier to work on, cruise all day at 80. No exhaust roar but I can live with that

In the 2 and half years I have had my 2.2 cdx it has been mega-reliable and cost pennies apart from routine servicing etc. Do sometimes wish I had a V6 but am reluctant to change as it is so reliable and also totally rust free ::)

I have had my 2.2 for 3 1/2 yrs and up until recently i thought i would alwys go for a v6 next time. But having seen a v6 engine it looks a lot harder to work on and i would consider a 4 pot again.

I sold my '02' plate 2.2 CDX manual saloon just over a year ago for £2460, and that had 36,000 miles on it.
So I'd say £2495 isn't a bad price at all  :y

I'm inclined to agree with you R - although I'm no lover of 4 cylinder engines - my car hasn't cost me much during the time I've had it (2005).

Although I don't use it very much (1300 miles last year) I'm always pleasantly surprised when I do take it for a run.

Spoke to the seller and there is a 2 inch dent on the boot and some scratches on the bumper and wheel arch (bodywise mine is in better nick). Also it has a dark grey cloth interior which i'm not keen on (i currently have cream) - so i think i will be giving this one a miss.

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts :y
