...Just received yesterday for entering a street restricted to buses only, this was when I travelled to WIM last thursday, I could'nt get inot the left hand lane due to some other idiot >:(, and due to the concrete bollards ended up having no option but to stay in the right hand lane and commit the contravention :'(. Have called them and advised what happenned and will be putting in the representation today :y Apprantley the same thing has happenned to several othe folk :-X

This illustrates a point I was making the other day of how the enforcement of regulations in this way is being is alienating the public at large (in this case the motoring public).
Cameras are a necessary evil and are for the most part very useful when used for controlling traffic but when used as revenue gathering devices their worth is diminished.
Sadly, this method of detecting alleged offenders now seems to be the accepted norm in this country as it’s both easy and cheap to operate and very much buys into the fact that many people can’t be bothered contesting the NIP.
