Barring *34# code
Cancelling #34 code*PIN#
Checking *#34#
But these BAR ALL CALLS
The code you need is .....2
So to

BAR        *342#
UNBAR     #342*PIN #
To Check  *#34#
Simples
Sadly, the above sequence also Bars national and international calls and calls to mobiles
Hope this helps
Diane

Present Master Vamps with a highlighted bill and tell him he has 30 days to pay and see what happens.

you need to know the pin and the 342 code is for all but local calls,

   1.  All Outgoing calls are barred except 999
   2. Outgoing national and international calls are barred
   3. Outgoing international calls are barred
   4. Calls to Operator services are barred
   5. Bars calls to manage your Calling Features
   6. Bars calls to premium rate numbers

7 should bar mobiles at least it did when I used to program the switches :y

but you will need to know the pin ;)

If I want to talk to someone from BT, I walk down the other end of the office ;D.  Doubt they could help me with phone queries though, seeing as they normally come to me (I was a telephone 'engineer' in a previous life)  :-X

Did you ever work on any of the Carrier Receiver (Handel / WB600 / WB1400) equipment or lines or any of the ECN equipment or lines?

WB900, DACS, Gfeller, 4/16 concentrators ('accidentally' broke one by kicking the carp out of it, none in stock in the country, opps), and old party lines. Also had one WB1400 early warning system in my area - kinda pointless, seeing as a UK primary target (Strike Command) was about 5m away, and the PM's country residence about 2m away ;D

That's the one! ADOC at High Wycombe SC was the original trigger feed for the confirmation of Attack Warning Red into the Handel network.

Interesting technology, especially the attempts to harden the circuits against the effects of EMP that forgot to harden the wiring in the local exchange and the assumption that the system would be able to trigger all clear and fallout warnings after the attack when half the links to the CCP's were still strung over poles... somehow I think they may have been flattened at the very least!

Wonder if I still have it in my big box of bits ::) - I ripped it out of this pub (much to the pub owner's disgust) as it had started beeping :o (exchange end had got decommissioned as part of the crossbar to system x upgrade, and never replaced)...

The report I got from 151 was that his Early Warning device had gone off (151 didn't have a clue what it was, but I had visited/fixed this particular one before, so was aware what it was).  The owner was, how can I put it politely, "preferred the intimate company of gentlemen to ladies", and came running out in a right flap when I pulled into the carpark. Talk about Mr Emotional/Mr Panic ;D

He was up in arms when I ripped it all out, kept asking how can he can inform 'his' community of a nuclear strike. My answer "They will see the big flash over Strike Command for a few milliseconds before they are incinerated" ::)

I'll have a look in my big box of old British smelecom bits....

Far better to be part of the crater than try and survive for 14 days then pop your head out to find out everything has gone anyway!
