Title: St Georges Day.................

....walked in the local pub today and festooned with england flags, so I asked when St George's day is, apprantley it's Saturday, just in case you did'nt know :y ;D

It hasnt but it tends to be flown in England for English events as its the English flag, whereas the Union Jack is the flag of the whole of the U.K. :y

The Union Jack refers to when the Union Flag is displayed on a ship/boat.  Otherwise it is simply the Union flag  :y

Yes Debs, but the point was jokingly being made about all the "St Georges" flags displayed around a pub :D :D ;)

All about the small event taking place for England on Saturday!! ::) ::) ::) ;)

Easy for Me to remember them dates,

21st April - Queens Birthday
22nd April - Zirk's Birthday
23rd April - St George's Day
24th April - Really hung over need to stay in bed Day.

As said.St Georges Day is April the 23rd.

The current patriotic fervour is due to our Nations need to 'close ranks' at such times of jolly anticipation.

There are loadsa flags on cars in london, including other countries flags :y
